It’s been absolutely ages since I last wrote a blog post – almost 6 months ago in fact! I didn’t exactly hide how unhappy I was at uni, and it took me a long time to recover from it all. It was stressful, isolating and had a detrimental effect on my mental health. Not something I’d repeat, ever. I never did redo my dissertation so as it stands I don’t have a complete degree and that was really hard to come to terms with. However looking back, I believe I made the right decision in trying to put my health first. For me, that was way more important than ‘honours’ and graduating, even though it sucked big time. It’s also absolutely wonderful and so freeing to be able to write a blog post without being told how to speak/write, and having it affect my grades (seriously what the hell??). Same goes for my work. I think university should help you grow and improve, not drag you down and make you feel terrible about yourself and your work. It’s not about telling someone they’re not good enough, it’s about helping them get better and improve – what’s the point in criticism if it isn’t constructive? All that said I’m moving on from it, and speaking of…
I’ve recently opened my Etsy shop ! It’s took longer than I planned, but I think everything is falling into place just as it should (even though sometimes it doesn’t seem like it!). So far I only have my Moon Phase Calendars available, but I’m placing an order for some new stuff very very soon! I’m really excited about it! I have a promotion on at the moment offering a free ‘Palmistress’ sticker with every order – I only have 100 of these (not going to lie I’m keeping a few back for myself and friends haha) so this is only on for a limited time. I actually acquired these by entering one of my designs to Free Sticker Friday, run by Awesome Merchandise. I was very lucky to be one of the winners a couple of weeks ago! It was such a wonderful surprise and a nice start to the new year. They’ve come out so well too – the pink is so vibrant!
Speaking of the new year, one of my resolutions is to write at least one blog post every week. It’ll either be witchcraft or art related, or both. It won’t just be anything random I promise! And no more rants about uni either, haha!
Wishing you all a very happy new year ❤
